Ratings - NTPR

  • The NTPR is the internal rating system at The Jar Pickleball Club, designed to accurately reflect skill levels across our player base in a way that is relevant to our community. Ratings range from 0 to 7 and help ensure fair and competitive matchups in all sessions.

  • While DUPR ratings are widely used, they can be inconsistent across Australia. NTPR offers a club-specific system to help us structure open play and social league divisions more effectively.

  • • New players start between 0 and 2.

    • Progression is through assessment during our Friday morning assessments (7–9am).

    • Your rating is visible in your Playbypoint profile.

  • To book an assessment join us on Friday mornings at 7am. Alternatively any private coaching session, or clinic can be used to update your rating.

  • NTPR & DUPR have a number of similarities however they are not the same. Being a 4 DUPR does not automatically mean that you are a 4 NTPR nor does it mean that you can attend a session that has a minimum rating.

NTPR is unique to The Jar Pickleball Clubs and the rating is relevant to the players at The Jar only.

It is a critical tool used to ensure that players are split into groups with similar skill levels, without needing to play match play & DUPR.
